Many people when they hear the word Ouija board will go running for the hills. This isn’t surprising however if you have taken all that you know from horror films. Many films have generated a fear of Ouija boards by depicting them as a way of demons or poltergeists latching onto a person and causing them everlasting torment. After many years of using Ouija boards we can say this is just not true.
At our ghost hunts we encourage our guests to try out a Ouija board to show them that there is nothing to be feared and they are not dangerous. In fact it was first sold by Hasbro as a toy until its reputation was damaged by media.
The Ouija board is used to contact spirits but this has been manipulated to have a reputation for something much more sinister. Many people now believe that you can only contact evil spirits, but you are more likely to make contact with a ghost that has no ill intentions towards you.
There have been many investigations into Ouija boards and none have ever found concrete proof that they have ever caused harm to anyone before or to link a haunting to them. Of course there will be rumours about them but without solid proof there is no way to say that the Ouija board is anything to be feared.
If you would like the chance to use a Ouija board with professionals who can help guide you then come along to one of our upcoming events.
We will be having a ghost hunt with a twist when we visit the Leylands Old Police Station on the 15th of October. You can enjoy a delicious two course Italian meal before setting out on our paranormal investigation. Do you dare to join?
