New Year, New Ghost Hunting Events

January 5, 2017 by Haunted Revelations

Ghost Hunting
Ghost Hunting

It’s a new year so that means new ghost hunting events for you to choose from as well as some of our favourites. We will be visiting two new locations in the new year the Weir Mill and the Bate Hall Pub, both of which show high levels of ghost activity.

The Village of the Damned

We will first however be making our return to the Village, also known as ‘The Village Of The Damned’ by many in Mansfield. It’s sinister feel is due to the spirits that haunt the building which up until 2013 was left abandoned. The building was built in the 1800’s to be used as a malt house and a slaughter house. Before the Village was built in the 19th century there was a barn which stood there instead. There are many stories which say that the barn was burnt down with seven monks inside, all of them died in the fire. This reputation of such tragedy lead to many paranormal investigators experiencing high levels of unearthly activity. We will be holding a ghost hunting event here on the 27th of January.

Bate Hall Pub

Our newest venue which we will be visiting on the on the 4th of February is the Bate Hall Pub in Macclesfield. In August 2016 the building was featured on the ITV News website and Manchester Evening News. It was reported that the building is inhabited by 14 ghosts, the landlord Sean Hutchinson says that not all the ghost ‘‘are not so friendly’ with one ghost in particular making threats against the owner. Help us find out why so many ghost inhabit this building on the 4th of February. This will be our very first investigation here and is set to be  abundant with paranormal activity.

Weir Mill

You can also join us on our very first ghost hunt to the Weir Mill in Stockport on the 18th of February. The building dates back to 1790’s, where the majority of the employment would of been that of children who would’ve likely been from poor families or orphans. There is not many documents which tell us much about the building or the employees there as many of these were lost in one of the three blazes which occurred here. There are only rumours about what people experienced at the mill, due to the nature of the job and from other history tales it is without a doubt that fatalities would have accrued while on the job. The Mill has had many tragedies happen here including suicide and a documented murder. It is easy to see why the Mill has received a reputation as one of Stockport’s most haunted buildings.
